ABOUT

Born in Tampa, Florida but now calling NYC home, Gerianne Pérez is a “powerhouse vocalist” born to be a queen, or at least play one. As an army brat in a traditional Puerto Rican household, she spent most of her early life moving from place to place and learned very quickly how to make a home wherever she travelled. She had many aspirations growing up, not knowing until her senior year of high school that the path she'd choose in the arts would start with her applying and being accepted to the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts program at NYU. Deeply inspired by the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Selena, Gerianne is currently touring the country on the SIX Boleyn National Tour as Catherine of Aragon.

GERIANNE BEGAN her professional career in the award-winning production of Volleygirls at the Signature Theatre alongside Susan Blackwell and Monica Raymund. This production was noted as the NYMF 2013 "Best of Fest," "Best Ensemble," "Most Promising New Musical," and Huffington Post's "one of the best shows of 2013." Her incredible musicianship and a cappella expertise led to her becoming a lead vocalist in the First National Tour of Vocalosity. The fast-paced live concert featured 12 voices singing some of today's top hits with vocal arrangements from Pitch Perfect's own Deke Sharon.

In 2017, Gerianne made her Broadway debut as Kathy in Broadway's first a cappella musical with music by Oscar-winner Kristen Anderson-Lopez, Russell Kaplan, Sara Wordsworth and James-Allen Ford, with direction and choreography by Tony-Award Winner Kathleen Marshall.

It was in the Fall of 2018, Gerianne warmed hearts (and stomachs) across the country as a member of the ensemble and as Dawn Understudy in the first national tour of Waitress, the beloved Broadway musical directed by Tony award winner, Diane Paulus. She then opened the Broadway company starring Sara Bareilles in the Fall of 2021 after the industry shutdown.

After an amazing time back on Broadway, Gerianne was called in for the SIX Boleyn Tour as King Henry VIII’s first wife, Catherine of Aragon. A dream come true would be an understatement. The tour kicked off at the Smith Center in Las Vegas in the Fall of 2022 to sold out success. Upon concluding her time on tour, Gerianne had travelled to 53 cities and played to 1.3 million audience members. She has been praised by critics for her sultry vocals and was hailed by the New York Times as "an impressive singer...seemingly effortless." Her voice can be heard on the tracks of  "Fever," "Locked out of Heaven," and "Hallelujah" on the Vocalosity album, as well as the entirety of the Original Broadway Cast album of In Transit.
